Dear Editor WARNING TO HORSE RIDERS

Be aware of the dangers of riding over the orange coated surface used on roads in housing estates.  Riding through Avalon Downs recently my horse completely lost his footing while walking across this orange surface and fell over spilling me onto the road.  Fortunately neither of us sustained any serious injury.  Avoid riding on this type of surface particularly if your horse is shod.
