ENERGY OMBUDSMAN June09

Don’t be left in the dark, seek help to pay energy bills
Queensland’s Energy Ombudsman, Barry Adams, is concerned too many people are being left in the dark because they can’t afford to pay their energy bills.
“If 22,000 Queenslanders are being disconnected because they can’t pay an electricity bill, that’s 22,000 too many,” Mr Adams said.

DEAR EDITOR June09

At the moment there is a petition getting started to have Ocean View Road re-zoned to a 60km per hour zone. For a lot of us who live up the mountain it beggers belief that a narrow winding road that for the majority (of its distance) has no centre line, areas of blind corners and sections so narrow that some one has to get at least some of their vehicle on the verge to pass safely has a 100km per hour speed limit.
