DEAR EDITOR June09
At the moment there is a petition getting started to have Ocean View Road re-zoned to a 60km per hour zone. For a lot of us who live up the mountain it beggers belief that a narrow winding road that for the majority (of its distance) has no centre line, areas of blind corners and sections so narrow that some one has to get at least some of their vehicle on the verge to pass safely has a 100km per hour speed limit.
Adding to the actual state of the road is the fact that it carries the school bus run, frequent walkers, frequent horse riders, occasional wayward cattle and is constantly populated by wallabies and other wildlife. The residents who started the petition, started talking to other people up the mountain and this situation is repeated on other roads in this area. We do not need any human deaths – the wildlife have had plenty.
A petition is available for signing at the Dayboro Vet Surgery.

Dear Editor,
Having had a business in Dayboro for many years, I have noticed lately that there appears to be a few people who seem to think that it is alright to let their horses foul the footpath where people have to walk.
Please have some consideration, especially outside business premises.
