Property Offences
Over the last month there has been a drop in the number of break and enter offences.  However, on 26th June there was still a burglary at Sunrise Drive Ocean View.  Entry was forced to a bedroom window and jewellery stolen.  Most of the items were recovered at Bracken Ridge on 27th June.

Several instances of damage to property have occurred.  Notable incidents occurred on Friday 12th July when a vehicle was damaged whilst parked near Dayboro Skatepark and on 13th July wooden slats were removed from the toilet block in Roderick Cruice Park and used to start a fire.  A group of youths was responsible on both occasions.
A vehicle was stolen from a shed at a Rowe Road property and located abandoned outside Gympie.
If you have information in relation to these or other offences, please contract Dayboro Police Station 3425 1200 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
Traffic Incidents
Two traffic crashes occurred over the last month.  Sadly, one of these involved a fatality.
The number of traffic related complaints received at the station continues to increase.  A number of these relate to hooning.  The next most common are excessive speed, unsafe overtaking and tail gating which are often due to driver impatience.  Traffic on the roads around Dayboro is increasing and catching up to slower moving vehicles is a reality of driving in the area and should be factored into driving time.
School Watch
Thank you to the group of local volunteers who helped out with the Dayboro School Watch program over the last holiday period.
