Father’s Day Spectacular – Mountain Style!
Preparations are well under way for The Mountain Festival which will be held on Sunday 5th September at Mt Nebo.
A huge day jam-packed with workshops, events, free activities, giant puppets, yummy food, handcrafted, unique and natural wares at the markets and live entertainment – all with a special ‘Father’s Day’ spin will be held in the beautiful backdrop of the Mt Nebo/Mt Glorious environment.
The Festival will commence at 10am and will culminate with a Silent Auction at 4pm which includes loads of great items up for grabs. Participants can enjoy a cold drink and some yummy food whilst checking out the wonderful items on display.
Workshops for all ages will be conducted during the day including making juggling balls and learning how to juggle, tie-dying bandanas, screen printing a bag, and drumming. Workshops will cost a minimal fee and participants will walk away with their fantastic creation to keep – these would make great presents for dad on father’s day.
Mountain-style Father’s Day events will be a big draw-card for the day, and include the annual “Gumboot Toss’ competition, Bush Turkey Lotto, Carpet Python Tug’o’ War, Bushfire Fight Relay Race, and Tree Planting with Dad just to name a few.
Entry is free so bring dad up to the mountain for a wonderful day of fun, laughs, excitement and frivolity in a beautiful and unique part of the world – and all on Brisbane’s doorstep…only 35 minutes away.
