Buses will again be available to transport people to the Memorial in the War Memorial Grounds [Showgrounds] for the service to commence at 10am, or alternatively a short walk from the school through Tullamore Park will get you to there in time for the service.  The buses will be provided by Brisbane Bus Lines and the drivers will give their time as well.  Our thanks go to Dale Tokley and the drivers from Brisbane Bus Lines.  The buses will also be available for anyone wanting to leave their cars at the showgrounds and be transported to the hotel for the parade and returned to the Memorial in the showgrounds for the service after the parade.  This will allow people wishing to stay for the luncheon to have their vehicles available to be able to leave at their leisure.  The buses will leave to transport people to the parade at 9.10 sharp.

Luncheon:
We would again like to invite everybody to attend the luncheon after the Service.  To cover the costs of the luncheon, donations have been received from the Dayboro Lions, The Dayboro & Districts Junior Rugby League Sporting Club and the Dayboro Rodeo Association.  2up will be held at the Dayboro Bowls Club commencing at 1pm.  All proceeds will go to the War Memorial Association and used to conduct remembrance services, maintain and improve Dayboro’s War Memorials and for the Centenary of Anzac projects.

Wreath Laying Ceremony:
Organisations or private people wanting to lay a wreath please contact Richard Hawkins on 3289 9208 email hawkins.family1@bigpond.com  or Allan Kilby on 3425 1122 email allan.kilby@gmail.com   Private people wishing to lay a wreath, can, if desired, state the person it is in memory of and it will be announced when the person is called forward.  This extends the time taken for the wreath laying ceremony but we think the extra time taken is worth it.  Due to lack of flowers available at this time of year it would be appreciated if the person or organisation could supply their own wreath.

Lions Diggers Dinner:
The annual Lions Digger’s Dinner will be held on Saturday the 26th of April at the football club in Don Kerr Memorial Drive at 1200. Returned Servicemen/women and their partners are most welcome.  Note.  There is no need to be a member of the R.S.L. to attend. The guest speaker will be Dr. Nevin Colgrave.  Nevin was a medical officer in the Australian Army for 5 years and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011.  He now works as a GP in private practice in Samford.  Please contact Richard Hawkins by the 21st April if you wish to attend.
