Traffic Crashes
Whilst traffic crash numbers have been reducing, there was unfortunately a fatal traffic crash on Mt Samson Rd, Kobble Creek on 19th February.  The 25 year old male rider of a motor cycle died as a result of impact with another vehicle.
Speed Zones
Please take the time to check speed zones on areas you travel through.  Zones can change and it is easy to get into a habit of assuming an area is a certain speed.  One local area where traffic staff continue to detect numerous offences is the 60 zone on Hay Road.  The speed camera is also regularly in the Dayboro area at various locations, including in the vicinity of Dayboro State School.
School zone times are changing to more uniform hours throughout the state.  This will lengthen the school zone times around Mt Samson and Dayboro State Schools.  The change will not take effect until the current signage is changed.  This will most likely occur term 2.
Trivia night
The Dayboro Police Charity Trivia Night held on 17th March was an enjoyable evening.  This was thanks to the generous support of local businesses, the volunteers who helped set up and run the evening and the members of our community who came along and exercised their brains.  Dayboro Apex were the winning team and approximately $2500 was raised for the Dayboro Sheriffs Community Fund.  The Dayboro School P&C also benefited from operating the food and drink component of the night.
