DINNER MEETING:

At the Lions’ February open meeting at the Footy Club, where an outstandingly delicious meal was produced by "Fuzzy", the Lions had the warm pleasure of the induction of two new members.  Bronwyn, who has been active with us in the monthly movies for a few months now, and Doug Higginson, who is a welcome addition and brings along his technical knowledge as a bonus!
At this meeting the launch of the Lions website was discussed.   Greg Lincoln  has kindly spent time and now has the domain up and running.  Community, club and event information will be added as the site develops.

CLEAN-UP AUSTRALIA DAY
Clean-up Australia Day was very well attended this year, with over 50 signing up at the Lions’ park in Dayboro on 1st March, including a splendid turn out by the Scout group Joeys and other sections.  All were invited to join the Apex boys for a BBQ at the river afterwards.
 
Never too young to show responsibility.

THE TASKS AHEAD:
The April activities of Lions include running the Diggers’ appreciation lunch for ex-service personnel and families on 18th April, who will hear a speaker on an armed forces theme.  Richard Hawkins has been instrument in the organisation of ANZAC events in Dayboro for many years now, and can be contacted for attendance at this event.

As at the Grapevine deadline we’ve shown the following movies this year:
