Oct2011_DAYBORO YOUR RIVER NEEDS YOU

prca_logo.jpgThe people of the Dayboro area can help to restore the North Pine River and its creeks after the flood.
The Pine Rivers Catchment Association and SEQ Catchments have started to rebuild the rivers and streams north of Dayboro.
The bulldozers have restored the banks and pools in some areas, but we need to plant lots of plants including Lomandra (mat rush) and the correct trees.  We already have a CVA (Conservation Volunteers Association) team already planting, and other volunterrs are also doing some planting.
We NEED your help, as there are large areas to be planted.
We are looking for community groups (sports, clubs, churches, schools, etc) to work together on 15-16 October to plant trees.
We will show you where to park before the planting days. Please contact the Pine Rivers Catchment Association if you can support us with this tree planting.
