Our last ride, although small in numbers, was large in quality. The ride left Show Ground via Mt Mee Road, under Terror’s creek bridge, Brady Court, Fingerboard Road, Neil Cross’s, Rod Small’s, Pioneer down past the Jacaranda’s through the gully and up one of the old logging tracks to the saddle, Barret’s, down past the Airstrip, Peter Leis’s, Widden place, Endeavour Lane, Mt Mee Road, back under Terrors Creek Bridge and home.  There was not a sign of the predicted showers and we were all ready for lunch and a drink or two, as well as some chit chat after one more good day horse riding.

Four brave members ventured down to Mudgeeraba’s weekend at a Currumbin Valley property (562 Acres ) managed by Graeme Sleeman, for what was to be 2 rides each day on very scenic land on the N.S.W border – up on the ridge over looking our camp, house and yards with Hi rise buildings of the Gold Coast to the north east, down on the flats the grass was as high as our stirrups.

With the rain about, only 2 rides were possible.  It was a good weekend in spite of the rain, and a few problems getting out of a slippery hillside.  We have an open invitation to join them any time they have a ride there.

All the Members from the Dayboro Trail Riders extend a Big Thank You to the property owners who allow us to ride on and through their places.  Enjoy a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.  These thoughts are also passed on to all who support us in this area.

Our Club will again have a stand at the Horse Home Show on the 14th of February 2016 at the State Equestrian Centre

Beerburrum rd. Caboolture.  When you are there, call round and see us for a chat.
