Learn how to use your tablet or smartphone to make stop motion animations.  Join us for a hands on workshop to explore and play with stop motion as a creative platform.  Learn how to promote your work using Instagram and YouTube.

Please remember to bring your tablet or smartphone and to install iMotion or Stop Motion Studio (Android) before the workshop.

Two acquisitive prizes

$7,500 awarded from any of the three categories, with the winning works becoming part of the Moreton Bay Region Art Collection. All artists are eligible.

People’s Choice Award

$1,000 prize as the result of a public ballot counted at the end of the exhibition.  All artists are eligible.

Local Artist Award

$1,000 non-acquisitive merit certificate. Awarded to an eligible local artist (Moreton Bay region) in any of the three categories.

The Moreton Bay Region Art Awards is an annual acquisitive art prize and exhibition proudly supported by the Moreton Bay Regional Council.  The Moreton Bay Region Art Awards is an important feature in the cultural landscape of the region and has featured many prominent and emerging artists in its 22 year history.


The Moreton Bay Region Art Awards is an annual art event that attracts entries from all over Australia.  The works cover a diverse range of art forms with artists working in sculpture, painting, drawing and photography of every description.
