THANK YOU! from Nat Heathwood
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who recently supported me in my quest for baldness for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave 2010.
Firstly the Dayboro Rugby League Football Club for letting me shave my head on their Friday Night Meals Night; to the kitchen staff, committee members and bar staff who were inundated with spectators making for a very busy night; thank you.
Our wonderful local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle and hair spray for our colour: Eco by Design, Terrah Creek Café and Saddlery, Dayboro Bakery, Dayboro Pharmacy, Rendezvous at Dayboro, Dayboro Café, Aspire Hair Salon, Oceanview Winery, Fashion Essentials Boutique and Maya Maze Gift Wares and to Angelique Clements and her family for their donations and organising and running the raffle.
My appreciation (and that of all the kids who attended the night) goes out to Lee and his family from iJump Jumping Castles who donated his time and castle. For this I also need to thank Carly and Brett Roberts for organising, running and supervising, both the castle and the hair colour. Certainly for the kids it was the highlight of the night. To Borcky and co for your usual support in anything that will make me look silly and to my wonderful family for allowing me to look silly, love ya.
I sincerely hope I have not forgotten anyone – if so I apologise. I am very grateful to all those who turned out for this event and sponsored me in the weeks leading up to it….to all the above people, thank you so much for your time, effort, friendship, support and generosity.
I may look like a bit of a goose with no hair, but it was a choice, not a necessity. On top of this, over $2700 was raised to support those who literally have the biggest battle of their lives ahead of them. The sad fact is that one day; it may just be someone you know. Please continue to support the Leukaemia Foundation and all the good work they do.
