We invite locals to nominate in this year’s Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards.
The Awards Program has rewarded many worthy individuals and communities over the past nine years. The purpose of these awards is to encourage, acknowledge and reward valuable contributions and outstanding achievements in regional and rural areas.
The focus of the awards will be small to medium size businesses and employment agencies, community events, arts and culture, individuals providing leadership and initiative and community groups enhancing the social, economic, commercial and environmental prosperity of their region. There are many individuals, organizations and businesses worthy of recognition in regional and rural areas for their tireless dedication or outstanding achievements, and it’s up to you to nominate then now! Nominate in the one or more of the seven categories:
The Salvation Army Employment Plus Business & Employment Award
The Bartercard Events and Tourism Award
The Coffee Club Arts and Culture Award
The Regional Service Award
The Golden Circle Environment and Landcare Award
The Golding Contractors Youth Leadership Award
The Kleenheat Gas Community of the Year Award
Prizes include great television exposure thanks to WIN Television or a chance to win a $2,500 AwardSaver accounts thanks to Commonwealth Bank. Each winner also receives a hand crafted glass trophy.
Hurry and get those nominations in! Don’t miss out on the chance to nominate an outstanding individual or community group in our area. Nominations close on 31st July 2009. Let’s ensure there is someone from the Dayboro district represented as a finalist at the Gala Presentation in October at Maroochydore.
