High school students throughout the Moreton Bay region are being encouraged to get in early and nominate for the September SHAFT school holiday program, which runs from September 19 to 30.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland, said registrations would open at 9am on Wednesday, August 24 and close at 5pm on Friday, September 2.
“Council’s SHAFT program is the perfect way to beat school holiday boredom and with 35 activities to choose from there’s an abundance of fun to be had,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“No matter what your preference there will be something for everyone from adrenalin packed physical activities to food and art workshops.
“And they won’t burn a hole in your pocket with most activities costing $20 or less,” the Mayor said.
“The SHAFT program is always popular and with limited places, the best bet is to get in early to secure your spot before somebody else does.”
SHAFT is open to students in grades 8 to 12 who live in or attend a school in the Moreton Bay Region.
Please remember to quote the activity reference number when booking.
