SHAFT Spells Holiday Fun for Jan 2010

High school students have just two weeks to sign-up for next year’s SHAFT school holiday program, which runs from January 11 to 22, 2010.
Registrations open from 8.30am on Friday December 4 closing 5pm on Friday, December 18.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland, said there would be more than 50 exciting activities on offer.
“Council’s SHAFT program is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained during the summer school holidays,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“There will be plenty of adrenalin activities to do from cable skiing, surfing and abseiling to arts and crafts, dancing and digital photography.
“Better yet the program won’t hurt the hip pocket with most activities costing $10 or less,” the Mayor said.
“The program has been popular in the past, and with limited places on offer, students should get in early to secure their spot.”
The SHAFT program is open to all high school students who live or will attend a school in the Moreton Bay region during 2010.
