September Holiday art classes at The Studio Shed
Helen Evans will be hosting art classes for children this September holidays in her home studio in Cedar Creek. Each day will be themed with a famous artist. Children will learn about a particular artist’s vision and style, then create a fabulous piece of art ready to take home and hang. Expect lots of colour and some unique art emulating a famous artist.
Wednesday 25th September will feature Gustav Klimt. Klimt is well known for his gorgeous decorative and detailed figures. On Thursday 26 th Picasso will be the chosen artist. Children will learn a little about Picasso’s unique vision of the world. On Friday 27th, children will have the opportunity to try out portrait and landscape painting, Van Gogh style.
Classes are held in a large purpose built studio, starting at 9.30 daily until 3pm. Homemade goodies will be provided for morning tea – just bring lunch, a paint shirt and a water bottle. All materials are included in the cost and please ask about sibling and multiple day discounts. Students should ideally be grade one and over.
Helen also holds weekly Saturday afternoon classes during term time at The Studio Shed. She is also teaching adult and children’s classes at Red Dog Studios in Samford Village. Red Dog is new gallery in Samford which exhibits a wonderful range of contemporary art including Helen’s.
