Take some time out to celebrate the start of Spring at Ocean View Estates with a gourmet picnic in the vineyard or a stay in our luxury Winemaker’s Cottage.
The Cottage was completed in November last year, boasting five bedrooms and a fully-fenced yard to allow your four-legged family members to join you.
Co-owner Kate Honnef said the Cottage had an adaptable design that allowed several rooms to be excluded to cater for either large or small groups.
“This is a great space. We can close off areas to create a romantic getaway for two, or open the whole Cottage up for large groups, family reunions, or special occasions,” she said.
“We’ve had many requests over the years for pet-friendly and group accommodation, and we’re really proud of this latest addition to what we can offer.”
If you can’t stretch to an overnight visit, make a day of it at the Estate instead and soak up the warmer weather with a picnic in the vineyards.
“We’ve just added some new dishes into our gourmet Vineyard Hampers, so they are ready for you to add a bottle of wine and find your own favourite place in the vineyard to share your picnic,” Kate said.
The hampers start from $49 and include dishes like cheeses, dips and breads; salami, olives and quince paste; or sourdough with garlic seaweed butter, miso crusted eye fillet, and a nigella crusted chicken salad in the larger hamper.
For a more formal experience, join Kate and Thomas for a four-course degustation dinner on Friday September 19, complete with wine matching and the Estate’s own ten-year-old Tawny Port to finish.
