Sept2014_DAYBORO TRAILRIDERS

Dayboro’s club ride
Dayboro’s trail ride started with 30 riders on a fabulous July Sunday.
We headed off doing the short ride we will be doing for the Big October ride but in reverse.

Our first water crossing caused a bit of congestion while we waited for the riders to go though.  It came to Kayleen’s turn, and her horse was not going to go in straight but was going in backwards.
Debbie went to give her a hand to get across and with Kayleen and her horse over, Debbie ended up with some nice muddy boots at the end.
When we reached the top, the views, as always, were spectacular.  With clear skies you could see the back of Brisbane really clearly.
Nearly home Courtney and her horse parted ways.  John and his horse Muscles raced back to camp to get the float to bring them both back to the club.
After a 4 ½ hr ride and 16.5 klm travelled we arrived back at the club to have lunch.  The pumpkin soup and rolls were delicious, with chocolate and white brownies for dessert, as well as chocolates.  It was a nice way to end a well enjoyed ride.
Safe travel Jenny
