WEDNESDAY BOWLS:  9am morning tea and play 9.30am.  BYO lunch.  $5 to play.  Everyone welcome.

FRIENDSHIP DAY WEDNESDAY, 19 SEPTEMBER: These are fun days, and if you have ever felt you would like to try the game of lawn bowls this is the day to do it.

This day will also be sponsored by our Outgoing President Sheila Close’s son-in-law Alex McMillan, ADM Business Consultants. Alex is a local in Dayboro and his sponsorship is very much appreciated. Phone Edna for more information or to register 3425 1119.

AUGUST FINANCIAL DAY:  This day was generously sponsored by our Partoness, Edna Wruck and husband Des.  Their ongoing support of our Club is greatly appreciated. Edna enjoys making the knitted coat hangers for the table prizes, and for visiting Patronesses on the day.  She also provides towels for the prizes which all winners seem to enjoy.  There were 8 lucky numbers given out on the day so 8 lucky winners.  Edna decided to give out a prize for the neatest card, which was a surprise to everyone, and won by Desley, Kallangur.  The two raffles on the day were also donated by Edna and Des went to Jenny Pine, Rivers;  and Margaret, Toombul.  Spiders went to Lorraine, Dayboro;  and Beryl, Scarborough.  Fruit Trays went to Hazel and Audrey both Kallangur. 
CONGRATULATIONS to Karen King.  Karen won the District Novice Singles, which was a great achievement.  We all wish Karen and Janet Taylor success in the upcoming District Novice Pairs.
