DAYBORO BANNER POLES
Due to safety concerns for those people who undertake the challenging task of stringing banners on the poles at Apex Park and Alan McKenzie Park, I have budgeted in this current year to replace these existing poles with standard banner poles which will also provide additional hanging space.  Those groups wishing to use banner poles can obtain a booking form from Council’s website or by phoning 3205 0555.
E-WASTE COLLECTION RESULTS
During July Council undertook an e-waste collection program at four locations across the Region.  A total of 26.4 tonnes of waste computer and mobile phone equipment was collected and processed at a cost of some $30,000.  The cost involved cartage to an environmentally safe site and will assist with eliminating toxic wastes into our landfill sites.

DAYBORO POOL RE-OPENS WITH A FRESH COAT OF PAINT
During the winter recess, the Dayboro pool complex underwent some significant maintenance which included a full repaint of the pool and replacement of some areas of uneven paving paths.  Over the winter break, Council completed the repainting of three of its pools which not only keeps on top of required maintenance but continues to present these important complexes in the best possible way for our communities.
