Samford Equestrian Group
The Samford Equestrian Group hosted over 100 horse and rider combinations at the Official/Associate dressage competition held on Sunday 24th August. This very successful day was further enhanced when Councillor Bob Millar presented club president Leasa Stephen with a cheque for $10,000 from the Moreton Bay Regional Council which will be spent on on-going ground improvements.
Thank you so very much to the Council and Councillor Millar for providing funds to assure the safety of both visiting and local horses and riders competing on our grounds which are located at the Dennis Goodwin Reserve within the Samford Show grounds Highvale.
The SEG is a local equestrian group that provides competitions, information, coaching clinics and lots of fun and support to equestrians and their steeds. Now is actually an ideal time to join as we are offering a cheaper membership rate for the remainder of the year so any one interested can sample what we offer. Events still to come this year are a members outing to Donnan Eventing School and Hunter Trials on 18th & 19th October; The members Sizzling Summer Dressage Day on November 15th; Then finally our Christmas party and awards night. The date is still to be finalized for that but I am betting December.
