PONY CLUB NEWS March09

Dayboro Pony Club has kicked off another busy year with sign on at the beginning of February.  We also had our first muster the weekend following sign on and, not letting the weather get the better of us, we had a wet weather muster (no horses) the weekend of the 14th.  Our very capable instructors enlightening the children with the knowledge required for keeping a horse happy and healthy.

It is good to see many of the familiar faces return and a good spattering of new ones.  Welcome to the new families whohave joined and we hope that 2009 is as successful and fun filled as 2008 was.  This year we have a wide and varied bunch, ranging from little ones being led by mum or dad through to adult riders and everything in between.
Some of our riders have been out and about already attending a showjumping school.  There is also an advanced dressage school coming up in which we have a number of riders representing Dayboro.
Other exciting news is that we have our own website!!  This has been capably set up by our instructor/mum Marion Lovett and very kindly sponsored by Dayboro Produce and Hardware.  Check it out sometime soon, it’s at www.dayboroponyclub.com.  Also take a visit to our kind sponsors at Dayboro Produce and Hardware, Steve is more than happy to help with your produce and hardware needs.
Our club’s first big event for the year is our showjumping day coming up on the 22nd March.  Our kids are already preparing, training their horses and honing their skills over the hurdles.  Come along and have a look at how talented and brave some of our young folk are.
Anyone wishing to come along and see what our club can offer is welcome.  Enquiries to find out when our next Muster is, or for other information, should be directed to our Secretary Extraordinaire, Dianne Bell on 3425 1137.
