Families in Transition – For families experiencing change. Incorporating the Seasons™ program. Families in Transition is available to Young people who have experienced loss through separation, divorce or the death of a loved one. Our program caters to children aged 7-12 years. Group size is limited to 6 children per group. While the kids are at Seasons, parents are invited to get-together and learn more about supporting their children through family change. Walk in my shoes – Steps to Healthier Parenting. This free two day workshop explores how we can develop healthier family relationships, how to regain confidence as a parent after separation, and includes the impacts of Domestic violence on children. We will also explore how to understand your child’s feelings and behaviours after family separation due to domestic violence. Course cost is free, gold coin donation appreciated. A light lunch will be provided. Tuesday 7th & Wednesday 08th October.
Understanding & Managing Men’s Anger – A therapeutic group program for men who are challenged by their own expressions of anger. Held in a safe and confidential space, topics include: Understanding the context in which anger develops, Skills & strategies to deal with your anger, Improved communication skills for family relationships. Kids Self Esteem – for young people aged 9-12years. Covered topics: What is Self Esteem?; High and Low Self Esteem; How to enhance your Self Esteem; What are feelings and emotions?; Bullying and Resiliency; What are friends?; Our Strengths. The program will be held on Thursday afternoons
Looking In Looking Out – In partnership with Relationships Australia, this free 6 week group is for parents and carers who are interested in exploring ideas around self esteem and ways to make changes towards a healthier self esteem. Held in a safe, creative and confidential space, explore topics such as: What is self esteem? Where do we get self esteem from, Ways to increase and maintain your self esteem & Assertiveness. Adult Seasons – Have you experienced significant change in your life? Death of a loved one, Separation/divorce, Chronic illness, Unemployment, Relationship breakdown, other significant life changes. This program offers participants the opportunity to share their experiences of loss with others in a confidential environment.
