Seasons™ Companion Training – Do you have a desire to support primary aged children in a peer support setting? This two day training will provide you with the knowledge to support children through change, loss and grief resulting from family separation, divorce or death of a loved one. Learn to offer a safe and creative group environment for children which nurtures: sharing respect, self esteem and self mastery Fri 28th March & Mon 31st March, 9.00am – 3pm. PRNC – 3205 2955.
Walk in my Shoes – Steps to Healthier Parenting– This free one day workshop explores how we can develop healthier family relationships, it looks at regaining confidence as a parent after separation and includes the effects of Domestic violence on children. Understanding & Managing Anger – A therapeutic group program for men and women who are challenged by their own expressions of anger. Held in a safe and confidential space, topics include: Understanding the context in which anger develops, Skills & strategies to deal with your anger, Improved communication skills for family relationships. Tuesday evenings, 4th Mar- 1st April 6.30pm- 9pm. Cost is $25. PRNC – 3205 2955.
Families in Transition – For families experiencing change. Incorporating the Seasons™ program. Families in Transition is available to young people who have experienced loss through separation, divorce or the death of a loved one. Our program caters to children aged 7-12 years. Group size is limited to 6 children per group. While the kids are at Seasons, parents are invited to get-together and learn more about supporting their children through family change. Held after school Term 2 Wednesdays from 23rd Apr-18th June. Cost is $30. Childminding is provided. Contact PRNC on 3205 2955.
Men’s Self-Esteem – Anger Matrix – Join Bobby in this workshop as it looks to give men an understanding of issues such as Self-Esteem, Anger Release, Frustration and Violence, Alcohol and Drug Issues. It will increase and build understanding around the impacts these issues have on how we interact with others. Six weeks Tuesday nights 6.30-8.30pm, starting April 22nd – May 27th PRNC – 3205 2955.
Skilled Mates
“Skilled Mates”, is a leadership program aimed at developing your skills, knowledge and confidence in the areas of interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, men’s health and facilitating group training. It has been designed by men for men, and will equip you to work with, and support men in a variety of settings. Please ring to enrol or enquire further. We are also looking for Community Organizations to sponsor one or more participants. Held over two weekends at Whiteside on the 14, 15th, 16th March and 18th, 19th, 20th April.
