Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutors required
Do you have a passion for literacy? Are you interested in supporting an adult in their quest to improve their basic literacy and numeracy skills?
The Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre is currently recruiting volunteers to assist in the Adult Literacy Program. Tutoring is provided to a student in a one-on-one setting for two consecutive hours each week. Prior experience is not necessary. The Centre will provide training in Community Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutoring in April. Tutoring in the Adult Literacy Program especially appeals to caring and understanding people from a variety of backgrounds who are interested in mentoring and supporting someone to become more independent and enriched through learning.
