Oct2012_BIGGER SPRING IN YOUR STEP

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Spring In Your Step program is back bigger than ever before.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Deputy Mayor, Greg Chippendale, said due to popular demand the Spring In Your Step program would now span across three months and offer more than 230 activities.
“Just three years ago council’s Spring In Your Step program began with nine businesses offering 24 fitness activities,” Cr Chippendale said.
Today there are more than 50 providers all eager to help you tone up for summer.
It’s a program residents can’t get enough of and from September 1 has offered specific programs designed for children, parents, seniors, families and people with disabilities.”
Deputy Mayor Chippendale said with council offering a number of low cost activities there had never been a better time to put the spring back into your step for summer.
“This is a program not just for those wishing to get back in shape, but for anyone who wants to improve their general well-being,” the Deputy Mayor said.
“From dance, yoga and gymnastic classes to park fitness, horse riding and water sports, there is something for everyone.
One of the best parts about the program is the activities can be easily carried on long after the program is finished.”
