Oct2011_FARM VISIT Oct 29th
Do you want to grow beautiful fruit and vegetables in the Pine Rivers?
Many people in the Pine Rivers want to make changes to their land, their lifestyle and their future.
The Pine Rivers Catchment Association has organized a car trip to a small organic farm and shed shop at Mount Cotton, 40 minutes from Brisbane on Saturday 29 October 2011 at 9.45am. It is one of the closest successful farms to Brisbane and produces general vegetables, tomatoes, bananas, paw paws, mangoes, pecan nuts, free range eggs, all available for sale at their shed shop.
You don’t have to use organic methods, but the farm will give you many ideas and inspirations.
Bring your own lunch or go to the Sirromet Winery where you can look at the vineyards and the wines. Book into Restaurant Lurleen’s or lunch at Cellar Door Cafe just in view of the organic farm only 4km away (http://www.sirromet.com/index.html ).
The cost of the trip is minimal. For bookings or details contact the Pine Rivers Catchment Association on;
