OCEAN VIEW RURAL FIRE BRIGADE NEWS
The Ocean View Rural Fire Brigade has changed the time of their monthly meetings. Meetings are now held after New Member training every third Saturday of the month, at 11.00 am until noon. The next meeting will be on 19 July 2008 at the fire station at Rosalie Tebby Park in James Street, Ocean View at 11.00 am.
As we are heading toward the dryer season, those who are concerned about hazard reduction or stack burns should contact the Fire Brigade for advise. If you need a permit for a stack burn, please contact the Fire Warden, Neville Juffs, on 3235 3124. If you need the Brigade involved for hazard reduction burns, please contact the First Officer, Steven Laverty on 3425 3289.
We are a small but friendly bunch and are always interested in welcoming new members. Training is provided and can be tailored to suit individual needs. We have many areas you can help in, be it as fire fighter or behind the scene in our operations room or administration. Please contact Steven Laverty as first point of contact if you are interested.
