Remembrance Day – Monday 11th November 2013
Just a reminder that if you have not yet purchased any Remembrance Day memorabilia -badges, key rings, poppy $2.00 coins, pins, wristbands, poppies etc will be available from the RLS table which is located on the lawn outside of the Dayboro IGA from Monday 5th November from 3pm to 5pm and also on Saturday the 9th November from 8am to 1pm at our Free Sausage Sizzle which will be located on the vacant piece of land opposite the IGA (where the fishmonger is normally located). We have many new items this year which will interest the avid collectors.

1965 WO2 K.A. Wheatley awarded VC in South Vietnam
18 November
1918 Battle of the Somme ends
1969 8 RAR Tour or Vietnam commenced
19 November
1941 HMAS Sydney lost with all hands
23 November
1902 Lt L.C. Maygar awarded the VC at Natal
24 November
1943 Sgt T.C. Derrick awarded the VC at Sattelberg
1965 1 RAR captured the village of Duc Hahn, South Vietnam
27 November
1941 HMAS Parramatta sunk
29 November
1942 FSgt R.H. Middleton awarded the VC over Italy
