Nov2012_CURRAWONG CABINS CHANGE HANDS
New owners have taken over Currawong Cabins on Freds Road, Ocean View. Trevor and Jenny have moved on and new owners Russell and Jenni have moved in and are putting their own stamp on the business. Their first big change is the name. The cabins are now called Cabins @ the View.
“We just wanted to start afresh and by changing the name, we have a blank canvas to work with” Jenni said. Old fashioned hospitality is still paramount and guests are our first priority. The overwhelming theme of previous guests is the peaceful, natural surrounds and we are committed to keeping that magical atmosphere. We are in the process of freshening up the cabins and have great plans for the future.
Russell and Jenni were travelling around Australia in their Motorhome when they decided they would like to semi retire at Ocean View and perhaps run a few cabins. When they returned home in March, they saw an advertisement for the Ocean View property. The minute we saw the place, we fell in love with it and knew we were destined to move here. Jenni’s background is in hospitality, having owned and managed Brentleigh Theatre Restaurant for many years. The couple are committed to growing the business and promoting tourism in the local area.
