That’s it folks! That’s all for 2009. As this December 2009 edition of the Dayboro Grapevine arrives in your letterbox, the “Grapevine Crew” are putting their feet up and taking a well-earned break.
Who knows? Perhaps “yours truly” will get around to doing some of those tasks that I have been meaning to do all year . . . . maybe . . .
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
The streets do look great when those Christmas lights go up. Let’s hope that all the shop-front businesses take some time to do their display. It all adds to the festive atmosphere!
The Progress Association has put their lights up at 28 Williams Street (although Santa may have been blown off the roof in that storm – on the last Sunday afternoon in November!!) The Christmas Tree is up in Roderick Cruice Park . . . And looking great!! Thanks to Apex and Progress Association members!
This year the Nativity Scene will be on view in the window at Craig Doyle Real Estate. Unfortunately it stayed packed away last year, because nobody was able to take on the task of bringing it out onto the verandah each morning, then putting it away again in the evening. The solution to that problem will see it on display 24/7 in 2009 – So that’s even better!
Cheers!
Doreen.
