MUSIC FOR LIFE Feb 2008

As the new school year begins it is an excellent time to give your child the academic head start that comes with learning to play a musical instrument.  Research has found that children who learn a musical instrument do better at mathematics and that they develop fine motor skills that stand them in good stead in lots of other activities as they mature.  Nicole offers a well-rounded musical curriculum that is customised to suit each student.  Adults are welcome as well.  She is more than happy to teach all styles of music and if desired students can work towards AMEB exams or they can just learn for the pleasure of playing.

Nicole offers early childhood group music classes that are designed for pre-school children (aged between 3 and 5 years).  These classes are full of musical games, dressing up and most of all fun.  They provide a wonderful foundation for a budding musician but the social and developmental benefits are there even for children who do not ultimately go on to study an instrument.

Nicole Hall has been teaching music in the Dayboro district for the last eighteen years, at first teaching Piano and Keyboard and more recently offering tuition for Flute, Clarinet and Singing.  When she is not teaching music, Nicole Hall plays keyboard and sings with a local blues band.
