MT MEE CAROLS ON THE MOUNTAIN for 2009
Saturday 28th November 2009
Christmas is coming, and this means that it is time again for Carols on the Mountain organized by the Mt Mee community. So keep Saturday November 28, 2009 free and mark your diary NOW for the greatest show of the year on Mt Mee.
In previous years you probably wondered which Carols to attend. Well this year, Carols on the Mountain is being held early to avoid the rush!
Remember there is NO ADMISSION CHARGE and the evening begins at 5pm with very reasonably priced food, prepared by the Mt Mee School P&C, of burgers, sausages, flavoured milk, soft drinks, tea and the famous Mt Mee coffee. There will be something for most tastes and more than enough treats to make it a memorable night out for the children.
From 5.15 to 6.15 pm there will be special entertainment for the children with the special appearance of the popular Peebo and Dagwood Clowns who will arrive in their famous clown car to entertain the children while the rest enjoy the food. It will be a show to remember for the children.
Then at 6.30pm everyone will settle down for the main program, compered again by Heather Foord.
Come and enjoy:
Carol singing – led by the choir and backed by the usual group with guitars, keyboard and drums,
Items presented by pupils of the Mt Mee School,
Another special presentation by “The Yobbos!” and
Climaxed with a nativity play entitled “There’s A New Kid in Town”
The evening will be all over around eightish so the “littlies” are not too late for bed.
Mayor Allan Sutherland and Councillor Adrian Raedel will be in attendance and there is every chance that Santa Claus may drop in unexpectedly.
Remember that the event is being held again at the Mt Mee Sports Ground in Thomas Rd this year – NOT at the Mt Mee School. Patrons are advised to access Thomas Rd from Robinson Rd. Don’t forget to bring your chairs and/or rugs – (this is an outdoor event and it gets cool sometimes on the mountain) and there’s plenty of on-site car parking.
You’ll be SORRY if you MISS IT!
