APRIL FINANCIAL DAY: This day was generously sponsored by our Honourary Member, Joan Clark. It was great that Joan was able to attend for lunch, and thanks to her son Ralph for bringing her. Her continued support of our April Financial Days is very much appreciated. There were no winners or runners-up prizes on the day,. Instead the prize money was divided amongst 14 lucky bowlers, whose numbers were drawn out of the hat. The spider prizes went to our own Wally and Bob, Dayboro. Fruit and Veg raffles went to Eleanor, Dayboro and Lyn, Brighton. Thank you to all members who donated Easter eggs for the raffles – 10 prizes were drawn out on the day.
FRIENDSHIP DAY 23 April: Sorry to all who may have missed out on this day. Unfortunately in the last edition of the Grapevine I put in as the wrong month i.e. March. You will need to look out for the next one, usually in September.
NIGHT BOWLS have finished for now. Notices will appear outside the Bowls Club when they recommence.
WEDNESDAY BOWLS: Ladies day, but men are welcome. We are back to commencing 9am for morning tea and 9.30am play. Cost to play is $5. BYO lunch. If you would like to come along and try the game of lawn bowls, bowls can be provided – just wear flat shoes.
