May2014_ANZAC DAY – Dayboro 2014

A crowd of 330  attended the Dawn Service this year.
More than 160 people marched in the Parade, with many more lining McKenzie Street to view and cheer them on.

The main service at the Dayboro War Memorial Grounds (Showgrounds) had an attendance of 460 people. The recitation by Russell Plunkett of his ANZAC themed poetry, with the walk through of the Lighthorseman on his steed, the musical accompaniment from the Dayboro State School Band, the wreath laying by community groups as well as individuals, all part of Dayboro’s ANZAC service.  (Also read the report  from our Trailriders – page 46 of the digital or printed edition.)
