May2012_WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE YOUNG ONES IN DAYBORO
???????
During the last two weeks, the shed used by the Dayboro District Progress Association Inc (DDPAI) has been broken into twice.
Soft drinks and bottled water were taken on both occasions. Isn’t it just wonderful when even a Not for Profit association isn’t left alone by vandals. DDPAI run the Sunday Market with all proceeds going to Cancer Council Qld and the drinks are sold to raise money. They will have to replace these drinks, which means, less money for the charity they support. DDPAI also run Dayboro Day Festival with profits going back into the Dayboro Community and Swaggies Christmas, which is free to all and a great night for family entertainment.
As the main suspects are children the question must be…
"Do you know where your children are at night time?"
Many a time I see young children roaming the streets of Dayboro after dark and wonder if their parents think they are with another responsible adult. Regrettably this is not always the case.
It takes a fair bit of bashing to put a roller door off its tracks so, if anyone heard or saw anything between the night of April 1st and April 15th, please inform the Dayboro Police.
We have had the door fixed and hopefully this will not be a sign to some that they are up for a challenge to try to break it in again.
A member of our group who moved to Dayboro about 13 years ago commented that they have always thought of it as a safe and friendly little town. It would be a shame if this bad element is allowed to flourish in our lovely town.
