WORKSHOPS IN BUSINESS, MARKETING & PROJECT-PLANNING
The Creative Generator SEQ and Queensland Arts Council invite South East Queenslanders to attend a Business, Marketing and Project-Planning Workshop in their area.
To be held at various locations throughout April, May and June 2011, these day-long workshops will give artists and arts workers practical tools they can apply to their business, and a deeper understanding of the importance of planning.
“These one-day workshops will cover ideas about planning for your arts business and outline the types of plans you will need if your business is to be successful,” said Creative Generator SEQ, Tim McGee.
“The workshops will focus on the principles of strategic, business, marketing and project planning. At the end of the workshop participants will understand the purpose of these different plans, how they fit together and what you might need to tackle next for your business.”
The program has been developed after extensive consultation to establish the needs of the arts community in the region and will be conducted by Flying Arts who have extensive experience in this area.
Artists of all art forms are encouraged to attend.
All events run from 10am – 4pm, cost $10 and spaces are limited. For more information and online registration visit www.creativegeneratorseq.wordpress.com or email tim.mcgee@qac.org.au or phone Tim on 0428 745 693.
The Creative Generator SEQ supports the development or arts and culture in South East Queensland by connecting artists, arts organisations, councils and the community. They can assist with the development of ideas and projects and provide free advice and information on funding opportunities and the application process.
The Creative Generator is funded by Arts Queensland and the Australia Council for the Arts, supported with office space provided by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
The Creative Generator SEQ Networking Events are presented with the support of Sunshine Coast Council, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Redland City Council, Gold Coast City Council, Ipswich City Council, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Logan City Council, Somerset Regional Council and Scenic Rim Regional Council.
