May2011_Just in time for Easter

In August 2010 Dayboro police ran their bi-annual charity trivia night at the Dayboro Rugby League Club. Approx 180 Dayboro residents attended and over $6000 was raised for a special local girl and her family – Bonnie O’NEILL.
Seven year old Bonnie has a rare form of cancer and her father Nigel informed Dayboro police that she has a little trouble getting in and out of the family pool which was donated by the Make a Wish foundation in 2009.  Subsequently, the Dayboro community dug deep at the trivia night and with the unrelenting help, skills and talent of Dayboro’s own Eco By Design, a massive timber pool deck was erected around the O’Neill’s pool in early 2011.  Terry DINHAM and his team from Eco By Design designed the deck, obtained the supplies (most which were donated or purchased at cost) and built the structure, all in their own time and on their weekends off.  The finishing touches and clean-up was provided by Dayboro QLD Fire and Rescue Service and Dayboro police.
Bonnie and her family would like to sincerely thank the Dayboro community and businesses, Eco By Design, Dayboro Police and Dayboro QLD Fire and Rescue Service. A special thanks to all of those companies who donated materials including Grants Timbers, Neilsen’s Concrete, Palmer Steel Trading, Pine Rivers Sand and Gravel, Stevie Redback Pest Control, Hardings Hardware, Brisbane Posts and Beams, Fence World, Greg Owen, Aspley Earth Moving, Darren Nutley, Roger Dinham, Matt Hall, Rod Dun and Scott Dun.
