Oh my! What a big job this edition was. Simply chock-a-block with what is happening and has been happening in our district. Things always seem to rev up towards this time of year.
Wasn’t ANZAC Day an absolutely wonderful sunny day? After the rain that was still in evidence on Saturday afternoon, I must admit to thinking it would be a rather bleak day on the Sunday. Certainly glad that I was wrong on that score!! We had left space for photos of the ANZAC Day ‘doings’ here in Dayboro – I just love the convenience of the digital cameras, don’t you?
This edition will be out just after the Dayboro Rodeo and we are certainly hoping for a great day for them too – both weather-wise and with the actual running of the event!
Of course, after the Rodeo, the next big event on the Dayboro calendar is the Dayboro Day Festival and the Dayboro Antiques & Collectables Fair – both held on Sunday 30th May.
We have a bright orange lift-out in the centre of this edition. This summarises all the entertainment and happenings on the day, including a handy reference map. Just pull the orange leaf out, fold it along that central line were it was stapled in, then fold it further – into a 3-fold brochure. This will be a handy size to carry with you in your bag or pocket on the festival day!!
If you are new to town be prepared for a big day on May 30th. Remember that the main street, Williams Street, will be closed to vehicles during the festival. Do read that TRAFFIC ALERT with the Dayboro Day Festival article in this edition!
