May 2010 . . Mt Mee Country Auction kick starts Spring Cleaning
Did you know that items lovingly stored “just in case you need them” and items you have not used in the last 12 months, will probably NEVER be used by you AGAIN and just WASTE VALUABLE SPACE?
So kick start your Spring Cleaning this year and free-up valuable storage space! Hundreds did this last year and are doing so again this year and in the process are assisting the local Community.
DONATE ALL THAT UNUSED STUFF to the MT MEE COUNTRY AUCTION!
The Auction and Market is organised to raise funds for the Mountain Top Community Church (MTCC) which assists young people and families of the area. The Church runs:
· A Youth Group called Friday Night Special from 7-9 pm in the Mt. Mee Community Hall and facilitates an evening of hectic fun activities aimed at developing in youth a strong community spirit with Christian values in an atmosphere of mutual encouragement. Anyone of high school age is welcome.
· A Kids Club – Catering for Primary School Aged children, KFCC (Kids For Christ Club) is held during Church each Sunday morning at 9am at our new premises: 42 Settlement Road, Mount Mee. Special Family Fun Days are held during School holidays most semesters.
Items auctioned each year include, collectables, glassware, china, art deco household and general household goods, old Farm Machinery and Equipment, Tools and building materials, etc. So if you:
· would like to pick up a bargain;
· would like a wonderful country family experience;
· want to enjoy a beaut cup of brewed Mt Mee Coffee with home-made gourmet delights;
· need some R & R in a beautiful country setting,
then come to Mt Mee Showgrounds on Saturday, 24th July 2010. It will be WORTH THE VISIT!
Breakfast, morning teas, coffee and lunch will be supplied by the Mountain Top Community Church on the day including Mountainous Breakfasts from 8.00 am.
The Auction will be conducted by Mike Wheeler and Vern Duncan of Mike Wheeler Livestock and Property, Woodford.
If you have old farm or household equipment and feel it’s too large or expensive to donate, but you would like us to auction it on your behalf, we are able to do so on a Commission basis.
Space is available for those interested in running their own stall, but bookings are essential.
