The Club’s first ride for 2014 attracted 17 die hard riders on a warm day. (Read Hot!)
Our ride left the show grounds via Tullamore park, through the back of the pool, across Mt Mee Rd, into Terrors Creek where one rider and horse parted company and, with assistance from Warren Ebert, the horse was caught so the rider remounted and we moved on to the horse trail to Bradley’s gate, up to the dairy, crossed Rush Creek and into quarry country following a similar trail to what we used for The Big October Ride until we reached the saddle, through Rod Small’s place, onto Fingerboard Rd, Mt Mee Rd, under the bridge and back to the show grounds.
As usual Lisa had a great lunch for all who were there.
So another great day Horse Riding with friends.
At the Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers, Graham Bailey was elected President, Peter Rudd Vice President, Janelle Smith Secretary, Lorraine Bailey Treasurer, Kayleen Giles facebook and Web site, and Debby Kirkwood emails and Grapevine.
A Big Thank You to Greg and Linda Nugent for volunteering their property, “Mingo Station”, for us to run more camps away in new ‘great riding’ country with spectacular views over the Burnett River and surrounding ranges.
