Mar2015_Fogg – Golden Wedding Anniversary

If you want an exciting anniversary, just arrange for a cyclone like Marcia to arrive in time for your special luncheon.  Almost the entire guest list braved the rain and came to the Golden Ox at Margate to celebrate with Peter and Edith Fogg, who were married on February 20th 1965.

They were the last wedding in the old church at Samsonvale and as far as we know, Darrel was the last child christened there in June, 1966, before it was pulled down to make way for the Samsonvale Dam.  Old Mrs Gold arranged the flowers for our wedding and Jean Sellin and the Dayboro ladies supplied the catering.
The meal at the Golden Ox was superb and Tony Wagner played and sang for the afternoon.  There were a few Country Songs in there, you can bet.  It was lovely to have all our close friends together, and it was a lovely afternoon in spite of the weather.  Many thanks to all those who made the tremendous effort to attend.
