We’ve set a date!

All your friendly vets and nurses from the Dayboro Vet Surgery will have spent the last weekend of February moving into our brand new clinic because Monday February 25th we will see you there!  We know it’s been a difficult time with disruptions to phone lines and car parking, but a huge thank you to our clients who have been extremely supportive.

 We will still experience some inconveniences and challenges while the new car-park is being built.  Thank you for your patience.

Here are some of the features you can look forward to: 

     Separate wards for dogs and cats so each can have peace and quiet to recover in

     Special intensive care unit in the main treatment area for those pets that need very close observation so they never leave our sight

     A large, well ventilated stable complex where your horse can stay comfortably in a ‘home away from home’ for diagnosis and treatment 

     TWO small animal consultation rooms to minimize your waiting time 

Drop in for a chat or come along to our open day to enjoy a sneak peak of ‘behind the scenes’ and see for yourself why we can offer your pet the best standard of care.  Details of the open day date and program will be coming soon!

As we come to the tail end of the equine breeding season our horse vet Kristie is performing artificial insemination on the last few mares.  Kristie has been setting up the equine breeding program for the Dayboro Vet Surgery performing ‘chilled’ and ‘frozen’ breeds.  Start thinking about which stallion you would like your mare having a foal to, so when the season kicks off again in August we can help you to get your beautiful foal on the ground. 

As part of the University of Queensland, we at the Dayboro Veterinary Surgery work in collaboration with our colleagues at the UQ St Lucia Small Animal Veterinary Clinic and recently established UQ Gatton Veterinary Clinic (small and production animals and equine).  This provides our clients with peace of mind and our patients with access to many veterinary specialists, should your pet require referral treatment.

Our other good news this month, in case the Dayboro word-of-mouth grapevine hasn’t reached you before this one, is that Malcolm and Jane Heath are very happy to announce they have given David a little brother called William.  The family are all doing very well.
