STOP PRESS:
Thank goodness for this section being like a ‘last word’ in that it is generally the very last piece that is written for the edition.
CORRECTION on PAGE 22, the Dayboro Day Awards article, it lists that the “Nomination forms are available from Dayboro ECU Office and Dayboro Valley IGA.”
This is not correct! Nomination forms are available from Dayboro ECU Office and Dayboro Cottage. IN ADDITION: Closing date for nominations is Wednesday 1st May 2013.
Dayboro Day Festival will be here before you know it! Sunday 26th May is not that far away and, before then, we have the Dayboro Rodeo on Sunday 5th May.
Do read Ryle Winn’s piece on page 8 and see if you can relate to his dilemma. I though it was just me having those sorts of issues! (The article is under the GENERAL news items.)
Christmas holidays are long past and children settled into the school routine . . . . but is it a routine . . . or merely ‘seemingly organised chaos’? That’s about the best that I achieved. Fortunately I didn’t have to factor in buses until High School – then I had one child who left home well before the bus was due, in order to meet up with a friend arriving on a connecting bus; and the other child who ambled off at the last minute! (His saying, “Oh I missed the bus, can you drive me?” wasn’t really a question at all, as the reality here is that there wasn’t another bus to catch that day! HERE’S A TIP: This stopped happening when I instituted a rule that a certain amount would be deducted from pocket money for each trip I had to make, including the homeward bound trips missed because they decided to walk to the shop and didn’t get back to the school in time!!
