Mar2012_Rendezvous Ramblings

Rendezvous’ long term vision has always been to be your community bookshop café.  In keeping with this vision we held a very successful Evening with Youth Expert and Author Michelle Mitchell who informed and advised the many parents who attended on strategies to help guide their teenagers through their journey toward adulthood.  It was comforting for all who attended to know they were not alone and there is support in our community.
Chai and Chat Mornings – 1st Tuesday of Month
In the spirit of community Rendezvous has begun hosting a series of Chai and Chat mornings.  These are held the first Tuesday of every month by Linda Conyard an Ayurverdic councillor.  If you would like to join us for these mornings just call Rendezvous and book your space.
NEXT EVENING on 31st March – With Kathryn Delaney.
On a lighter and very exciting note our next Evening will feature the very talented and vibrant Kathryn Delaney. Dayboro residents may more affectionately know her as Chris Magee.  Chris resided in the area for many years and has written for the Dayboro Players.
Kathryn will regale us with tales from her book “Infinitely more Entertaining than a Loaf of Bread”.
This is a warts and all account of Kathryn’s experiences from Alaska to Mexico and several points in between.  The events and incidents range from outstanding natural beauty to domestic squalor and decadence.
This Evening will be held Saturday the 31st of March. RSVP is essential. Tickets will be $25.00 and will include champagne and nibbles.  Tickets will be available at Rendezvous from the beginning of March.
Rendezvous Evenings have proven to be a great night out so look for future events featuring Author Edwina Shaw, the very popular Wendy Murray and Artist/Author Kate Knapp.  For more detailed information Log on to our website http://www.rendezvousatdayboro.com.au/ or “Like” us on facebook:  Rendezvous at Dayboro the Readers Teahouse.
Finally 2012 is the year of reading.  Books are our passion here at Rendezvous so if you need to escape your day to day for a little while, come and browse the shelves.  There is a story for everybody.
Remember we are your community bookshop, café.
Relax. Read Rendezvous,
Deb.
