Mar2012_FAREWELL FROM CAROLYN MALE
As you may already be aware, I will not be recontesting the next State election due on 24 March 2012.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone for their support and friendship during my time as State Member for Pine Rivers. I have been privileged to represent you.
My decision has only been arrived at after lengthy consideration of my health issues and the commitment and support that I feel needs to be given to my children as they enter the final phases of their education.
This has been a difficult decision for me to make as I have enjoyed the opportunity to represent this great electorate.
During my time as a Member of Parliament I have had the opportunity to be involved with amazing communities who are focused on ensuring the needs of the community are met. I have worked in a consultative way with my fellow colleagues and local Councillors to provide infrastructure and sound policy decisions.
My commitment to top quality education, prevention of domestic violence, job opportunities for all, and the environment and conservation will continue long after I have left Parliament.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Mr Patrick Bulman who has been selected as the Labor candidate for Pine Rivers.
Some of you would have had the opportunity to meet Patrick at the Dayboro State School P & C meeting recently.
Patrick, his wife and family have lived in the Pine Rivers area for the past 18 years. His children have attended local Schools and played sport locally.
Locally, Patrick serves on the management committee of the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre. Patrick currently works as the CEO of Parkinson’s Queensland. He has a proven track record of serving his community.
If you need a postal vote or have any enquiries about how to vote please contact Patrick Bulman on 3264 4550 or email election@patrickforpinerivers.com
Remember to vote on Saturday 24 March. Polling booths open at 8am and close at 6pm. Pre Poll voting commences on Friday 2 March.
Once again thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent you in State Parliament.
Kind regards and best wishes for the future
Carolyn Male MP
State Member for Pine Rivers
