Mar2012_Calling volunteers
Samford Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is looking for volunteers for 2012 – and you don’t have to know a thing about horses to get involved.
Volunteers assist with lessons three mornings a week (except on school and public holidays) at the centre at Samford Showgrounds. Their work supports children and adults with a wide range of disabilities; and duties include general care of equipment, administration work, horse leading, side walking and grounds maintenance.
No experience is necessary and no age restrictions apply – just a willingness to learn the RDA way.
Lessons resumed on March 7 following a volunteer training day for both existing and new volunteers on Saturday, February 25. For all volunteer inquiries, call Clare on 0411 045 237 or 0458 246 883.
