Mar2011 THANKS re Flood and Fire
I want to express very sincere gratitude to the many people who helped to make our Flood and Fire concert such a great success. We had received $20,000 in donations from many individuals, organisations and small businesses before the concert night.
The final figure after the concert, auction, raffles, food and bar was close to $31,000. The process of distribution of funds will commence after applications are received by the end of March.
A very big thank you to the concert performers who gave their time freely and gave us a night to be remembered for a long time; to the Dayboro School for making the new hall available; the principal, staff and P & C members who provided so much help; the Combined Churches team; , APEX and Lions, and the many individuals who assisted me in the rapid exercise of pulling it all together; the sponsors, raffle donors, catering team, bar staff, accountants, ticket sellers, printers, stage manager and comperes; and the great audience from our wonderful community.
