LETTER TO THE EDITOR

As many of you know the Lions Club of Dayboro provided a Year Planner to the organisers of the Historical Society and Tourism Office to enable important events to be scheduled without any clash.  This item is available at the office for anyone to consult.

The Dayboro Players are presenting this year’s play “The Curse of the Golden Dagger” on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th of September.

I am not sure if the members of the Uniting Church were unaware of the Year Planner’s existence but in any event they realised that they had scheduled a dance for the same Saturday evening as the play.  Upon becoming aware of this potential clash the Minister contacted a member of the players expressing regret and attempting to resolve any conflict.  The Dayboro Players would like to take this opportunity to thank the minister and Members of the Uniting Church for their consideration and courtesy and to wish them all the best with their function.

It seems a timely reminder to everyone that the best interests of the community are served if everyone attempts to co-ordinate events in the town.
