Peg Doll Competition and Exhibition
Competition open until 10 July
Exhibition 13-27 July

Are you creative enough to make a doll out of a peg?  In the past when toys and games were expensive, kids took clothes pegs from the washing line and turned them into dolls with hair, clothes and drawn-on faces.
The Pine Rivers Heritage Museum is celebrating this fun tradition with a Peg Doll Competition and Exhibition.  Pick up your peg and an entry form from the Museum by 10 July 2011, be creative and turn your peg into a doll by using paint, glue, fabric, ribbon, wool, buttons or whatever else you can think of.  All submitted peg dolls will be displayed in the Peg Doll Exhibition from 13 to 27 July, and visitors will vote on their favourite peg dolls.  Winners from each category will receive an award.
